Don brings a talent for bold and innovative thinking, superior strategic insight and an energetic, engaging leadership style. He is known for motivating teams around fact-based change initiatives, demonstrating leadership through simplicity and service. Don has a unique ability to zero in on critical initiatives to enhance organizations and advance their missions. He is a life-long learner who shares his passion for knowledge as a university lecturer.
Joining Concentra Bank in March 2018, Don possesses a wealth of industry experience from financial institutions in Canada and around the globe. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Don is a visionary who enables Concentra to deliver business results and growth by concentrating on strategy. He heads the executive leadership team, empowering and enabling Concentra to achieve sustainable, long-term success. A member of the Concentra Bank Board of Directors, Don engages regularly with the Board to continually advance Concentra’s strategic position in the financial services industry.
Before leading Concentra, Don served as CFO, and most recently CEO of Coast Capital Savings. Prior to that, Don held senior executive roles with several global financial institutions.
Ryan Graham, CPA, CMA
Chief Banking Officer
Since 2003, Ryan has honed his professional expertise with Concentra, progressing through increasingly challenging management and leadership roles. In April 2017, he was appointed Executive Vice-President to lead the retail and commercial banking divisions, assuming responsibility for residential, commercial, leasing, consumer, and credit union consulting and relationship management.
In collaboration with the executive team, Ryan brings dedication and a deep commitment to continually improve the value Concentra delivers to stakeholders. Ryan is accountable for developing, overseeing and executing strategy to provide a full suite of retail and commercial banking products and service offerings, with an eye for continuously broadening Concentra’s portfolio. Through Ryan’s leadership, Concentra’s banking teams work to foster success through partnerships and participation in complex banking and financial intermediation activities.
Ryan is active in his community though his involvement on the Board of Hope’s Home, which provides daycare services in Saskatchewan for children with medically complex needs.
Jayleen Groff, Chief People Officer
Jayleen Groff joined Concentra in July 2019 with 25+ years of experience in Human Resources. As Chief People Officer, she will drive a culture of high performance via a people strategy that supports the bank’s growth, change and innovation.
With expertise in organizational transformation including mergers and acquisitions, Jayleen promotes business success through her focus on leadership and organizational capabilities. A pragmatic leader, she has developed HR teams to support companies across North America through change and growth. She has developed and redesigned employee programs and processes, operating models and performance-based compensation programs. She has also introduced HRIS technology to improve efficiency, employee engagement and metrics.
Prior to joining Concentra, Jayleen held a senior leadership role in Human Resources at a large North American grain handling company. She also spent three years managing global corporate M&A integration programs.
Jayleen lives enjoys travelling with her family, exploring as many different places as possible. Closer to home, she enjoys camping, hiking and outdoor activities with her two dogs.
Brian Guillemin, MBA
Chief Digital Officer
Brian has served the Canadian co-operative system in various leadership roles since 1992 and is credited with leading the multi-disciplinary teams responsible for a number of payment industry and card association firsts within the system.
In 2013, Brian was recruited by Concentra to serve as Executive Vice-President, Chief Information Officer. In 2015, Brian’s leadership portfolio was expanded with his appointment as Executive Vice-President, Corporate Services where he was responsible for providing guidance and oversight of the diverse group of business units delivering expertise and services across the company. Brian elevated the value of Concentra’s business-enabling functions, raising the bar for internal service standards. From October 2017 to March 2018, Brian assumed the role of Interim President and CEO for Concentra, providing Brian a unique development opportunity and deeper appreciation of the skills and expertise demonstrated by staff to make Concentra so successful.
As Executive Vice-President, Digital Solutions, Brian is accountable for digital operations to drive transformation and growth. He continues to provide leadership to Concentra’s business technology teams, with a corporate focus to advance Concentra’s digital strategy with the objectives to mature business intelligence, improve internal performance, efficiency and collaboration, and establish a digital banking foundation for future customer growth and a competitive customer experience.
Brian is a member of the Conference Board of Canada’s CIO Council and serves on the Payments Canada Member Advisory Committee as well as the Saskatchewan Science Centre Board of Directors.
Paul Masterson, CPA, CA, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
Concentra Bank welcomed Paul in May 2017. A strategic thinker with strong technical capabilities, Paul’s precision and results-driven focus combined with his collaborative leadership style enable him to shape strategy and accelerate growth.
As Executive Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer, Paul is a cornerstone advisor to Concentra’s CEO and executive team, bringing strategic financial insight and his sharp acuity for analysis and evidence-based decision-making. Paul is accountable for ensuring effective management of Concentra Bank’s capital resources for achieving long-term goals. Paul oversees Financial Reporting and Analysis, Treasury, Corporate Analytics as well as Institutional Deposit Raising. Paul also has primary leadership accountability for business insight and intelligence, pairing nicely with his responsibility for the Concentra Strategy portfolio.
Prior to joining Concentra, Paul held senior executive positons with financial services and wealth management providers in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.
Neal Oswald, CPA, CFA
Chief Operating Officer
Neal is a senior executive leader and execution specialist with over 30 years of extensive global financial services experience in retail, wholesale banking and asset management. Prior to joining Concentra in August 2018, Neal held executive positions with a large national bank and was a partner with both Ernst & Young and PwC. He is an analytical and data-driven transformation specialist who brings exceptional insight to transform processes and existing technology in support of modern architectures and digital business models. Neal is known for collaboratively working with cross-functional teams to execute transformational change.
As Concentra Bank’s Chief Operating Officer, Neal provides leadership and oversight to enterprise operations, controls and internal processes, with primary accountability for facilities, internal consulting, outsourcing relationships and program execution.
Tanya M Postlewaite, BA, LLB
VP Compliance and Governance
Corporate Secretary, Chief Compliance Officer
Tanya has been with Concentra since 2013. With her strong legal, regulatory and leadership background she has developed and matured Concentra’s regulatory programs, ensuring effective management of Concentra’s prudential obligations. She also plays a role in our strategic initiatives and advises on regulatory and governance matters. Tanya collaborates closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team. Her various roles touch every corner of the bank and her wide-angle perspective is beneficial to Concentra’s dynamic and diverse operations. An inspiring leader to her teams, Tanya takes a ‘one team’ approach that allows her to excel at execution and collaboration.
Tanya has been called to the Bar in four jurisdictions. Prior to joining Concentra she practiced corporate restructuring in Toronto and mutual fund law at a leading international firm. She has written on a number of legal and governance issues and is involved in numerous professional organizations.
Philippe Sarfati, BComm, MBA
Chief Risk Officer
In June 2018, Concentra welcomed Philippe to oversee the bank’s comprehensive risk strategy. Over his nearly three decade career in the financial services industry, Philippe served in myriad roles including within the Canadian credit union system, Bank of Montreal, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, and most recently with Promontory Financial Group.
As Chief Risk Officer, Philippe ensures sound governance and effective controls for enterprise risk management, compliance, corporate policy, credit adjudication and regulatory framework to meet Concentra’s strategic and business objectives, while also enhancing shareholder value. He provides strategic leadership to support a prudent risk culture focused on growth, development, and market relevance.
Philippe brings extensive domestic and international experience in risk management governance and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on integration of credit, market, operational, reputational, legal and regulatory risks.
Head of Concentra Trust
Martha is responsible for overall management and strategic execution across all business lines within Concentra Trust, including Registered Plans and Estates & Trusts Planning.
Her career in banking spans more than two decades, including working for a major Canadian financial institution and a management consulting firm. She thrives in designing growth strategies, transformational initiatives and strong execution skills to drive exceptional client, financial and organizational results.
Martha is passionate about financial literacy and has developed and led numerous programs, including educational support for First Nations communities. In partnership with Magnuscards, she co-launched digital financial literacy learning aids and tools for people with special needs. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
